ACTAG Invites P.E.G. Groups To Participate
NORTH HAVEN, (August 7, 2007)-- .  ACTAG, the Association of Cable Television Access Groups, was founded in 1996 to assist fellow P.E.G. access providers by functioning as an information-sharing resource.  ACTAG invites P.E.G.  access groups throughout Connecticut to join ACTAG.  There is no cost to join, and the benefits are numerous.  It's a great, information-sharing effort.

ACTAG was formed as there was no effective local existing body to help P.E.G. groups in many areas such as updates on legislation that affect P.E.G. groups, as well as providing information on issues such as insurance, employment, technology and others.  In effect, ACTAG was there, and still is there to “watch out” for fellow local P.E.G. groups.  Though ACTAG has met infrequently over the years, ACTAG continues to exist.  In fact, ACTAG is holding a special meeting on August 13, 2007 at 7:00PM.  The meeting’s topic will be “IPTV In Connecticut.”  The special guest speaker will be State Representative Steve Fontana, (D-87), who is also Co-Chair of the State of Connecticut, Energy and Technology Committee.  Fontana, who has been State Representative in the 87th District since 1996, will discuss issues related to Substitute House Bill No. 7182,  Public Act No. 07-253, An Act Concerning Certified Competitive Video Service in Connecticut, which was recently signed into law by Governor M. Jodi Rell, (R-CT).  The meeting will take place in the first floor lobby of the NHTV building in North Haven.  For more info, call NHTV at 203-234-0025.

AT&T U-Verse Presents Demonstration for ACTAG P.E.G. Group Members Dec. 10th
NEW HAVEN, (November 16, 2007)-- .  AT&T U-Verse and ACTAG, the Association of Cable Television Access Groups, will be presenting a demonstration of the new U-Verse service for ACTAG members only, on December 10th.  Representatives from AT&T will be on hand to disucss U-Verse and answer P.E.G. questions.  If you are an ACTAG member, CONTACT US for date, time and location.  All are reminded that the SOLE purpose of ACTAG is P.E.G.-related issues, and that no subscriber issues (other than P.E.G.-related ones) are discussed.  Additionally, only ACTAG members are invited to the U-Verse demonstration.  Membership is open to those P.E.G. groups who wish to attend our events and participate in this information-sharing resource by becoming members.  If you wish to become a member of ACTAG, please CONTACT US (email: actag@nhtv.com) or you can contact us via NHTV at 203-234-0025.
