Angel Food Ministries– No Income qualifications! If you eat, you qualify!
Angel Food Ministries, a non-profit, non-denominational organization, began
In 1994 as a small outreach ministry serving a rural community in Georgia. The goal was to help neighbors who needed a hand in tough economic times, Today, Angel Food Ministries can be found in over 3,200 communities in 35 states and helps feed over 500,000 families a month.
Angel Food partners with churches and community organizations throughout the country to help distribute food to those in need. For the low cost of $30.00 you can receive a box of food containing both fresh and frozen items. There are no applications or qualifications, anyone can participate. Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp Program. This ensures that the needy in our area are getting the maximum value for their grocery dollar, usually resulting in their receiving twice the amount of quality foods for their “food stamp dollar”.
Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken, and pork.
Our food items are top quality – we buy our food from major food producers, such as Tyson, General Mills, Jiffy Mix, Price Cut meat, and Fieldale Farms to ensure the best food comes to your table. For more information contact:
Hope Christian Church, 211 Montowese Ave, North Haven (203) 234-7328
